Iran's Children & Youth Int'l Theater Festival kicks off in Hamedan

The opening ceremony for the 24th edition of the International Theater Festival of Children & Youth has been held in the Iranian city of Hamedan today, November 30, 2017.

The opening ceremony of the event started with a message from Seyyed-Abbas Salehi, Iran’s Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance.

This year’s edition of the festival is held in the Iranian city of Hamedan.

The aim of the festival is to support the artistic works which are created for children and youth, to increase happiness and to educate the next generation of Iran.

Founded in 1991, the International Theater Festival of Children & Youth was at first held in the Iranian city of Hamedan. Iranian cities of Kerman and Isfahan have also hosted some editions of the event. The Iranian city of Hamedan has been hosting the event again since 2001.

The 24th edition of the International Theater Festival of Children & Youth is slated for November 30-December 6, 2017, in Hamedan, Iran.
